How to Install a Wireless Alarm Monitoring System

A wireless alarm monitoring system allows homeowners to keep an eye on what’s happening at home, no matter where they are.

Keeping the home safe from intruders is the desire of every individual. It is a place where they want to feel protected from the rest of the world due to which they opt to use security systems for keeping unwanted visitors out. There are different types of security systems such as wired and wireless, which come with a variety of options. One such alternative is a wireless alarm monitoring system, which is immensely easy to install. It is possible for individuals to undertake this installation on their own as it does not need any wiring because a wireless home network is used for connecting the components all over the house. All people need for the installation is a few common household tools.

Beginning the Installation:

The first step to installing a wireless alarm monitoring system will start from the front door of the house. A modular security plate has to be secured to the door after being placed against the open edge of the door. With the plate on the door, the modular plate that’s attached to the wireless transmitter should be placed against the door jamb. The modular plate should also be screwed and the door should be closed to see if both plates are lining up. A battery should be inserted in the wireless transmitter after opening its lid. This transmitter has to be placed and then screwed into the wall next to the door. Wooden screws should be used for screwing all devices.

Moving Ahead:

A wireless alarm monitoring system should also protect the windows of the house. A modular plate should be screwed onto the bottom edge of the window after opening it. Again, the modular plate that’s attached to the wireless transmitter should be screwed on the sill and the window should be closed for ensuring that the two plates are lining up. A battery should be inserted into the battery compartment of the wireless transmitter and it should be placed and screwed below the window sill. This procedure should be repeated with all the doors and windows of the house that can be used as an access point to the house.

Final Steps:

The wireless control panel should be placed against a wall in a hidden location like a closet when a wireless alarm monitoring system is being installed. The control panel should be screwed to the wall with screws. The antenna of the panel should be adjusted so that it is in the general direction of most of the wireless transmitters. The power cord should be plugged into the AC socket that’s present on the side of the light bulb adapter. The bulb should be unscrewed from the wall socket and the base of the adapter should be screwed into it. The alarm bell should be placed against the wall and then screwed it. The cable of the alarm bell should be inserted in the socket on the side of the control panel. The syncing button of the wireless transmitters and the control panel should be pressed. Now an alarm will be sounded if any of the doors or windows is opened at any time when the system is on. Thus, this wireless alarm monitoring system will provide complete security.
