I asked for a professional installation when I signed up for Life Shield security, with the specific idea that a professional installer would “get it right” where I might screw it up trying to do it myself. I should have saved myself the money, and the hassle. Apparently (I now know, after too many calls to customer service) the installer put the base station out of effective range of several of my sensors, meaning they don’t work. This is exactly the kind of problem a professional installation should have avoided.
